Further Information

Hello.

My name is Malte. I create websites, design interfaces and write code. I like typography, hysterical music and radical constructivism. I'm also a firm believer in postmodernism and minimalistic approaches. I live in Hamburg, Germany.

This is my stream of consciousness. I use Tumblr to collect and sample visual and textual scraps of digital information that seem relevant to me. It's subjective, contingent and complex.

You can catch me at Twitter or check out my taste in music at last.fm. You can find my personal website at electricgecko.de.

Apart from being a student of architecture, Casn has been doing some beautiful graphic design throughout the last years. Check out his latest project, DIY Widerstand, a collection of 240 quotes on tactics of the Situationist International. I’d love to see this thing in person. Have a look at his portfolio over at No Time For TV.

I adore Redshapes 2010 EP. It contains two amazing tracks and is wrapped in the artwork shown to the left. I’ll have to pick it up somewhen next week.

Brief hiatus

I’ll be out of town, enjoying Munich for a couple of days. I’m looking forward to see Ja, Panik on saturday and share some beers and thoughts with old friends. Photos will be taken, new words will be brought. See you soon.

This is pretty much my dream bedroom. It just lacks one stark visual object. Via Plastolux.

La Robotique drew a picture of me, based on a photo by Ultraviolett. It’s part of her great friends series. I totally love it.

Fresh work by Valentin Hindermann and Marco Walser from Zürich, aka. Elektrosmog. I absolutely adore this poster for the Dada venue Cabaret Voltaire. You might know them for their excellent Shifting Identities poster.

Chris Sherron has the best portfolio you’ll see all month, hands down. His record sleeves are things of beauty, I’m blown away. You might also know him for his series of Beef Posters.

Although it has been running for some years now, that Apartemento style developed by Albert Folch still kicks me every time I see it. Proof: see left side. Beautiful in colour, layout and typography.
