The girl and I went to see SDNMT yesterday evening (at Amp). It was beautiful. Maybe I’m developing a strange addiction to sophisticated post-rock, but there was something mesmerizing about the way they combined beats, sounds and general loveliness.
They’re on Sinnbus Records, so all their artwork and releases are exceptionally well designed and feature lots of cute details (see following entry).
I bought their latest LP, The Goal is to make the Animals Happy, which comes with a nice sleeveprint on uncoated paper. I am in love. With both their music and their attention to artwork and details. Sho-Ryu-Sdnmt, yeah!
